Delta Kay
Delta Kay is a proud Bundjalung woman from Byron Bay. Delta has worked in Aboriginal education for over thirty years to support young people to be strong, resilient and unique individuals. She loves working in nature, connecting people to Country and caring for Country through school programs and eco tourism walks. Delta believes that education builds cultural awareness, understanding and mutual respect between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to allow our young people to have a voice for their future. Delta owns & operates Explore Byron Bay.

Kris Cook
Kris Cook Nyangbal barii Bundjalung barii naa, Dangatti barii. Burruugaa Ngiiyn, baluul ngiiyn. Maamang garraa, gamii garraa, babarraa naa. Bullinaa ngumbiyn ngee balun naa. Born Nyangbal, born of Bundjalung, Dangattii. Ocean dweller, river dweller. Descendent of Maamang descendent of Grandmother, belong to father. Lives in Bullinaa beside the river.
Kris is a Bandjalang Language and Cultural teacher and a professional photographer. Kris also runs a family business called Yidabal Galii Maa meaning- ‘making of a good spirit’.

Nickolla Clark
A proud Arakwal Bundjalung women, First Nations interdisciplinary artist from Northern Rivers, New South Wales, based in Byron Bay on country. Home of my mother and grandmothers linage and heritage. My cultural expression is to bring knowledge, share and create art around our traditions, culture, natural ecosystems, traditional lifestyle and our ongoing connection to country. Nickolla works on Country, is a multi disciplinary artist and has a strong connection to her Grandmother’s Country. @arakwal_nickolla_artworks

Michelle Lowe
Michelle is a proud Bundjalung woman from Baryugil. Michelle is a HSIE teacher and Aboriginal Education Officer for many years and is passionate about supporting cultural education and teaching our future leaders. Michelle feels strongly about our environment & climate and feels that sharing culture and language will strengthen our future generations.

Melissa Ladkin
A proud descendant of the Awabakal, Wonnarua, and Bundjalung peoples, living on Bundjalung Jugun. A multidisciplinary artist spanning painting, sculpture, weaving, and curation. Her art is deeply informed by Country, community, and conservation, with ochre, a sacred and sentient medium, as the cornerstone of her work. With over three decades of experience in conservation, cultural advising, and community engagement, she dedicates her life to mentoring and empowering Indigenous youth as Melissa believes our pathway to a sustainable future lies within our young people through cultural education and truth telling. @ochre.earth

Dean Lindsay
Dean is a Kamilaroi man living in the Northern Rivers, on Bundjalung Country. Caring for country is at the forefront of Dean's work and life. He practices bush regeneration and regenerative land management on Bundjalung Country. He is passionate about supporting young people to connect to Country. For the past 6 years he has helped deliver ‘Rites of Passage' programs with a focus on marking the transition that a young person must take into becoming a young adult.

Sian Hromek
Siân is a Saltwater woman of Budawang/Dhurga/Yuin and Burrier/Dharawal ancestry who lives and works in the Northern Rivers. Through working on and with Country she has developed a deep appreciation for First Nations stewardship and philosophy. In her work Siân explores how we can learn from Country to improve the way we approach life- to be more respectful, inclusive, collaborative and considerate of Country.

Mia Thom
Mia Thom is a proud Bundjalung woman, raised on Arakwal Country, with ancestral ties to Baryulgil. She currently lives and studies in Naarm on Wurundjeri Country. Since high school Mia has worked as a tutor for First Nations students and feels passionate about education’s capacity for empowerment and self-determination. Stepping into the role of a youth mentor on our most recent Ngalawaa Bulaan Gii, Gathering Together camp, Mia has a deep belief in our youth leaders who continue our ancient knowledge systems and ignite deep sustainable change.

Kowunduh Randall Zillig
Kowunduh is a Yaegl man born and raised in the Northern Rivers. Coming from the saltwater people, Kowunduh finds himself amongst the ocean almost more than the land. With this a deep passion for surfing and fishing has become a major part of his lifestyle. He has been working with and mentoring students for the last three years up in Arnhem Land and Bundjalung country. Kowunduh offers youth leadership programs and workshops through nature based skills and awareness, surfing and water activities.
